These 2 1/2 hour taster sessions offer a great introduction to the world of glass fusing. Classes are informal, fun and relaxing and no previous experience is necessary. Description : All of the base glass is pre-cut and you can create your piece using a variety of colourful glass, frit, stringer and accessories. This is ideal for those who may be nervous about cutting glass although you will be shown how and can cut your own pieces to complete your design if you are feeling more adventurous. Choose from a variety of items to make including cuncatchers, trinket dishes, small panels, candle screens and more! you will make two small or one larger piece in the sessions but if you have time and would like to make more this is possible for a small additional fee. Items you make during the class will need to be fired in the kiln and will be available to collect at a later date (or can be posted for an additional fee to cover p&p) Timings for completion of your work depends on studio workload, time commitments and class schedules so may take 1-2 weeks. You will be contacted when your work is ready. All materials and tools required are provided as part of the lesson. Please wear closed toe shoes and preferably not your Sunday best clothes - it is a working studio and it can be dusty. Layers are also recommended as it can be warm if the kilns have been on. Aprons are provided. Tea/coffee and biscuits are on offer throughout the session. This workshop is suitable for age 12+ but under 16's must be accompanied by an adult also taking the class.
